"I need to get deep tissue therapeutic massages regularly to manage chronic pain from a serious car accident I was in 16 years ago. Along with regular massage, exercise, good sleep and good posture (and taking breaks from the desk at work every hour), and meditation to keep stress down, I have been able to keep my pain levels low. I was going to a medical massage clinic every month an hour away, but then my therapist moved across the country. I spent 5 years searching all across the Chicago North Shore, trying to find a new one that was as good and couldn’t - until I found Dora at Flow Plus Pilates & Massage that is. Not only is she as good as my former medical massage therapist from 5 years ago she is better! And who knew this place in Highland Park is the hidden gem just 10 minutes down the road from me after searching an hour radius away from me for 5 years to find someone who is excellent at massage therapy. Dora knows so much about the body and how all the muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, bones & fascia connect together and impact each other. As I have gotten older and had hormonal changes causing me to lose muscle and have joint pain, it’s been even more important to get regular monthly massages. When I arrive, I just let Dora know if my latest pains and she works her magic. I love that while she is giving me the massage she also gives me tips about what to do on my own at home to keep the pain away. It’s an expense worth building into the budget for a much improved quality of life. If I had more time and wasn’t working so many hours a week, and had more funds, I would definitely be seeing her for pilates also. But pilates isn’t something you can do here and there when you can fit it into your schedule. You need to commit and do it regularly. If I ever win the lottery and could retire I would not hesitate to become her regular pilates weekly (or better yet 3x a week!) client also. She is truly one of the best at massage and pilates throughout the Chicago North Suburbs and beyond!!"
