Community Feedback

"The Pilates Project is my favorite place to workout and I always have an excellent session. The instructors are very knowledgable, professional, and give excellent cues that I haven’t experienced in other Pilates classes. I’ve been going for three years and I’m so glad that I found a place that I will not outgrow/get bored since there are many classes and many instructors to keep sessions fun/interesting/challenging."

"Seven years ago I ran the NYC Marathon and absolutely loved it… until the next day. I literally could not walk. I was crawling around my house, my legs, hips, and back in agony for days and sore for weeks. In early 2024, I developed serious lower-back issues that forced me to stop running altogether – something I never thought I’d give up. PT, acupuncture, and cupping helped, but I still didn’t trust my body on long runs. When my niece asked me to run the 2025 NYC Marathon in memory of my brother, I hesitated… then said yes. Several doctors and physical therapists kept telling me Pilates could be a game-changer for my back, so I decided to give it a shot. That’s when I found Amanda at The Pilates Project. Amanda is incredible – knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. She designed every private session around my marathon training plan and my specific back issues. On non-running days, her workouts strengthened exactly what I needed without ever aggravating my injuries. Race day came. I finished the 2025 NYC Marathon 20 minutes faster than I did seven years ago… and the real miracle? The next day I could WALK. I did errands. No crawling, just normal life. Pilates, and Amanda’s expertise, made that possible. I highly recommend Amanda at The Pilates Project."

"I’ve been doing individual sessions at The Pilates Project for 6 years. Sandi and everyone on her team are absolutely wonderful. The studio is inviting and open, making anyone feel comfortable wherever they are in their practice or fitness level. My sessions helped me get stronger after ACL reconstruction when physical therapy ended. I now have a knee that I trust thanks to Sandi, Catherine, Tara, & every other instructor there who has covered one of my sessions. Forever grateful. If you want to learn from the best, go to The Pilates Project! You’ll feel better and stronger every time."
