"I’m 25 years old and before coming here I had been dealing with severe lower back and hip pain for nearly a year. The injury kept me from running, lifting, golfing, and doing many of the athletic activities that had always been a big part of my life. Before the injury I was perfectly healthy and running 10+ miles a week, so it was extremely frustrating to suddenly feel limited in everyday movement. During that time I tried physical therapy elsewhere and saw multiple doctors. I received different diagnoses and treatment plans from each of them, including recommendations for back injections that did not provide the relief or long-term recovery I was looking for. From the initial call, the team really listened to what I was dealing with and matched me with the provider they felt would be the best fit for my running-related injury. I have been working with Dr. Theo for the past few months, and he took the time from the beginning to understand the root cause of my pain and build a plan to help me return to running and the active lifestyle I had before. What stood out to me most is how different the approach is compared to other PT experiences I have had. In the past, sessions often felt rushed and involved doing workouts alongside multiple patients before being sent on my way. With Dr. Theo, our sessions are focused and intentional. Each visit builds on the previous one and gives me a clear plan to follow over the next week or two to reduce pain, build strength, and keep progressing. Since starting here I am back in the gym consistently and have recently begun structured run/walk intervals after not being able to run for nearly a year. For the first time in a long time I can clearly see a path back to running the way I used to. I would highly recommend Athletes’ Potential to anyone who has been struggling with an injury and wants a thoughtful, long-term approach to getting back to the activities they love."

"I came in with subacute hip pain that was impairing my ability to run, which was extremely distressing as I was in late stage marathon training. Dr. Hu at Athletes' Potential really took the time to figure out the root cause of my pain and build a personalized rehab plan and running strategy. Dr. Hu prioritized my goal of completing the marathon while strengthening my hip. I was able to complete the marathon without pain and a respectable finish time. After the race, we continue to work on strengthening and correcting imbalances so I can stay healthy: If you’re looking for a clinic that actually helps you stay active without quick fixes, I highly recommend Athletes' Potential!"

"Working with Dominic at AP has been phenomenal! Over the past year, I had ramped up my workout schedule as I was getting ready for some competitive tennis tournaments, and while my knee didn't feel direct pain, I noticed it was swelling, feeling stiff, and when it got to the point that I couldn't bend it, I knew I couldn't ignore it any longer. I also noticed that I didn't feel balanced while playing, and it turned out that was because I was only using my right leg as I was compensating for my left knee which caused terrible weakness in my left leg. This explained a number of pains and oddities I had felt over the year that I just chalked up to being my new normal as an athlete over 40. The exercises that Dom designed for me to do both during my sessions with him and at home on my own have changed my life! I have gained strength and balance again, and as little things have come up along the way, he has been there to help those disappear as well. My knee is no longer swollen, and I'm able to be on the court both as a player and as an instructor at Olympic Indoor Tennis without fear of causing damage to myself. I'm feeling so much stronger and healthier. Having played tennis in college and being used to having a training room to help through injuries, finding Dom at AP has been amazing because he understands the life of an athlete and personalizes treatment accordingly. I was able to help my tennis team win its league this past Fall, and I know I will be able to maintain my strength and athleticism for future competition! Thank you, Dom and AP- I highly recommend you!"
